Description

AQU-200 UF Membrane – Ultrafiltration Hollow Fiber Filter

The AQU-200 UF Membrane is a hollow fiber ultrafiltration filter used in water treatment systems where high clarity and microbial removal are important. It traps bacteria, suspended solids, and other particulates while allowing clean water to pass through its fine pores. This makes it suitable as a standalone ultrafiltration element or as a pre-treatment before reverse osmosis.

Unlike chemical methods, ultrafiltration relies on physical separation, which enhances water clarity without chemical residues and keeps operating costs low.

How Ultrafiltration Works

In an ultrafiltration setup, water flows through a bundle of hollow fibers. The UF hollow fibers have very fine pores that hold back larger particles and microbes. As a result, the permeate (filtered water) has much lower turbidity and fewer contaminants.

Because the process operates at relatively low pressure, it requires less energy than high-pressure membrane systems while still delivering reliable throughput.

Key Advantages of This UF Filter

  • Efficient removal of bacteria, suspended solids, and larger contaminants
  • Hollow fiber construction boosts membrane surface area
  • Suitable for both domestic water systems and commercial setups
  • Ideal for pre-treatment ahead of more advanced purification
  • Durable UPVC housing and epoxy end seals
  • Consistent performance with lower operating cost

Where This Filter Is Used

This type of hollow fiber ultrafiltration element fits well in:

  • Household and point-of-use water systems
  • Pre-RO treatment trains to protect reverse osmosis membranes
  • Small commercial water filtration units
  • Drinking water clarifiers and booster systems

Because it reduces turbidity and pathogenic load, this filter also helps downstream purification stages perform better.

Installation and Care Tips

Before installing the UF module, make sure your system has appropriate pretreatment to remove large solids that could foul the fibers. Once in place, periodic flushing or backwashing (depending on system design) helps extend service life and maintain consistent performance.

Why Choose the AQU-200 UF Membrane

Choosing this hollow fiber ultrafiltration component gives you dependable physical filtration and improved water clarity with low energy needs. It’s particularly effective where microbial safety and particle removal are priorities, and it works well both alone or ahead of finer purification systems.
