Because of its phosphate and silicate content, SILIPHOS also inhibits corrosion by forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface. A SILIPHOS concentration of 2-3 ppm is sufficient to achieve both of these effects.

Usage Notes & Maintenance

- Avoid using in water with very low pH (below ~5) without prior correction, because acidic water may accelerate media dissolution undesirably.
- Keep contact time sufficient; if the flow is too fast, effectiveness may drop.
