What Is Siliphos Polyphosphate Media?

Siliphos polyphosphate media is a food-grade, granular additive designed to protect plumbing systems from corrosion and rust. When water flows over the media, it releases polyphosphates that form a thin, invisible protective layer inside pipes and tanks. This coating prevents iron, steel, and other metal surfaces from oxidizing, reducing rust, and extending the life of water systems.

Unlike traditional water softeners, Siliphos polyphosphate media does not remove hardness minerals or existing scale. Instead, it prevents new rust formation while allowing minerals like calcium and magnesium to remain in solution.
