T33 Post Mineral Stone Filter
T33 Mineral Stone Filter – Remineralizing Post-RO Stage
The T33 mineral stone filter restores essential minerals to water after it passes through a reverse osmosis (RO) system. Because RO membranes remove nearly all dissolved minerals, the water can taste flat or slightly acidic. This filter adds back minerals such as calcium and magnesium, improving both taste and water balance. (puritech.co.za)
This 10″ standard cartridge fits most T33 post-filter housings and is designed to be the final polishing stage in multi-stage RO systems. It not only enhances flavor but also helps maintain a balanced pH in your drinking water.
How the T33 Mineral Stone Filter Works
Water flows from the RO membrane into the filter, then passes through mineral stone media. Beneficial ions dissolve slowly, subtly raising pH and adding healthy minerals. The process ensures that water is fresher, smoother, and more enjoyable to drink.
Composition of Mineral Media (with Approximate Percentages)
| Mineral | Percentage (%) |
|---|---|
| Calcium Oxide (CaO) | 30–35% |
| Magnesium Oxide (MgO) | 5–10% |
| Silicon Dioxide (SiO₂) | 35–40% |
| Sodium Oxide (Na₂O) | 2–5% |
| Potassium Oxide (K₂O) | 1–2% |
| Iron Oxide (Fe₂O₃) | 0.5–1% |
| Aluminum Oxide (Al₂O₃) | 0.5–1% |
This composition ensures optimal remineralization, taste improvement, and mild alkalinity adjustment.
Key Benefits
- Adds calcium, magnesium, and other minerals back to RO water for better taste.
- Helps balance pH slightly, creating more natural-tasting water.
- Protects downstream stages by polishing water after RO filtration.
- Compatible with standard T33 filter housings for easy installation.
- Maintains smooth water flow and clarity for everyday use.
Installation & Maintenance
Install the filter after your RO membrane and carbon polishing stages. Flush with water before first use to remove loose particles. Replace the filter every 6–12 months, depending on water quality and consumption, to maintain mineral content and taste.
